Who We Are

Welcome to RACBO – South Sudan

Recovery and Access to Commonly Best Optimism – South Sudan (RACBO) is a national, non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 2015 and registered with the South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (SSRRC). Established as a community-based initiative, RACBO is dedicated to empowering South Sudanese communities through inclusive, sustainable development programs.

Our Vision

To be an effective civil society organization capable of accessing and mobilizing resources to empower and drive inclusive development across South Sudan.

Our Mission

To enhance the capacity of communities, civil society organizations, and NGOs across South Sudan to actively participate in and control humanitarian and development efforts—ultimately achieving community self-help, self-reliance, and sustainability.

Our mission aligns with:

  • SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
  • SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals

Our Management Structure

RACBO is governed by a 7-member Board of Directors, providing strategic leadership, financial oversight, and program accountability. Our day-to-day operations are led by an Executive Director and a dedicated management team. This structure ensures transparency, professionalism, and alignment with SDG 16.

Our Achievements (2015–Present)

Since inception, RACBO has made significant impact across South Sudan:

  • 157,580 children protected
  • 190 community groups formed
  • 150,000 people engaged in campaigns
  • 500,000+ individuals reached with critical services
